Our model shop has won Bachmann's Retailer of the Year Award. THE SIGNAL BOX in Anstey, Leicestershire has been in business since the 1980s, previously operating from two Leicestershire locations in Oadby and Coalville before relocating to Anstey. Malcolm Godfrey founded and ran the business until he took retirement in 2005 when Martin Smith took over. Martin has always been interested in railways and brings enthusiasm and knowledge to the business to provide an excellent customer service to modellers and railway enthusiasts.
Our model shop stocks a wide range of rolling stock and accessories from N to G scales for railway modellers and also a vast range of railway related dvds which appear on this web site and are sold worldwide. Martin's model shop carries the widest range of products possible and, with 5 other members of staff, provides a helpful and friendly welcome for anyone visiting the shop. The shop also offers an on-site repair service and decoder fitting service for rolling stock.

For many years, THE SIGNAL BOX LTD was Britain's leading railway dvd specialists and stocked literally thousands of high quality titles. As well as many retail customers, Signal Box supplied many trade customers such as railway centres throughout the country as well as overseas.
However, in early 2013 Judith Smith wanted to retire, and the DVD division was sold to WOLVERTON RAIL. But fear not... it is all in very safe hands! WOLVERTON RAIL was established in 1987 by Ian King and has been a major customer and friend of THE SIGNAL BOX since 1988! So it's definitely business as usual!
In addition to their main WOLVERTON RAIL office in Milton Keynes, they continue to operate the Anstey office as a branch office using the same staff as before.. except for Judith who is enjoying a well earned retirement!! :-D

 Latest NewsBLU RAY We're now starting to stock a limited number of titles in the new Blu Ray format which can provide amazing high definition quality. NB: Blu Ray disks WILL NOT work on a standard DVD player, however blu ray players will also play the standard dvds. These films are included in the catalogue under the individual producers and existing films cannot be converted on to blu ray unfortunately.
